A library TeachMeet is an informal get together for  librarians to share ideas and experiences of teaching (and probably some cake and maybe drinks after too!). Originally started by teachers, librarians have also started to share their own teaching experiences. This short video explains the idea.

Anyone can speak at a (lib)TeachMeet – it’s all about sharing your own experiences and successes. Librarians learning from librarians.

(lib)TeachMeets are becoming more popular – see the Library TeachMeet forum on the Librarians as Teachers (LAT) Network (join while you’re there!).  Follow the #LibTeachM hashtag on twitter for general discussion on (lib)TeachMeets.

Follow this blog and @toonlibtm on twitter for information about Toon (lib)TeachMeets.
